Thank you for your interest in the BC Bereavement Helpline (BCBH). The Helpline, established in 1988, was created to facilitate the provision of care and support to the bereaved and their caregivers of British Columbia, and to ensure that their interests are publicly safeguarded.

There are many ways in which you can help us service those in British Columbia who need our grief and loss support services:

Volunteer: on the Helpline, with social media, facilitation of workshops, public education events, attendance at conferences, and more!

Student Opportunities: we regularly fill practicum student positions. Please contact us if you are involved with practicum placements for the social services.

Become a Board Member: help BCBH continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of BC residents coping with grief and loss. Board terms for Directors are three years. Meetings are once every two months with the July-August months off.

Donate: BCBH is supported by government funding, grants, donations and memberships. Help us continue our work in grief support including supporting those who have lost a loved one due to homicide, suicide or substance use.
