Toxic Drug Poisoning Grief Support Group
In response to the ongoing provincial toxic drug crisis, the BC Bereavement Helpline is adapting our proven 8-week traumatic loss support group model to support those that have lost someone due to toxic drug poisoning.
Losing someone to substance use related harm can add complex layers of grief, such as stigma and isolation, unresolved questions, and complicated feelings that can come with traumatic loss. BCBH’s support groups provide participants with connection to others who have experienced a similar type of loss. Our experienced facilitators provide education, grief coping tools, and hold space for restorative retelling.
Group Details:
- Tuesdays from 6PM to 8PM, March 5 – April 23, 2024.
- 8-weeks, participants are expected to be available for all 8 sessions
- Downtown Kamloops (address will be shared with confirmed participants)
- Registration and intake required
*Only 2 spots remain. Anyone that registers after the group is full will be added to a waitlist*
